From what I've read in reviews and looking through myself it seems to be more of a supplementary app as opposed to learning from it alone.

It's pretty much reminders. It.keeps you going. You're expected to know the basics before. Forgot about that lol.
Also some of the examples seem fucked up. Idk why. In beta still

You can use code academy i used to use it very long time ago. You will learn a bit. But i recommend you to do your own research and slowly test yourself.
