... in the future! Like things that could create paintings based on just what you can imagine in your head, or maybe something along the lines of those weird food-pills from the Fifth Element that create full on meals from small pills in the microwave.

I'd like to see Petabyte hard drives being readily accessible to the general public within ten years.

A technology device that make you sleep in seconds by just sleeping over it. And yeah, i am little lazy so probably that is why it came in my mind.

Instead of VR, I'd opt for a truly full immersive experience where, sort of like the Matrix, users connect to a game/service via a direct computer-brain interface. The difference would be night and day --- instead of gearing up to play your favorite VR game, you'd sit in your chair, connect the interface, and it would be as if your consciousness itself is transferred into the game (or vice versa). Sort of like SAO (Sword Art Online), actually.

Granted, there'd be the potential for abuse given such a system, and who knows what the real consequences of such a technology could/would be, but it would be tempting nonetheless.

Not exactly sure. Things that may solve world problems would be nice.
