Someone sells me a video card (GTX 1080 Ti 8gb) for $128. Will it be worth it?

It really depends on what currency you are mining, what the power costs are in your area, etc etc. However, I believe that 128 is a good price for 1080 no matter what you are using it for.

I don't think thats what he means. I think what he means is that he just wants to buy the card for himself to play with it and it comes from a cryptominer who sells his 1k series cards because he is moving on to 2k series cards.
Whenever people ask me where to buy graphics cards, I always recommend buying from cryptominers. Graphics cards don't take and damage or notable wear from cryptomining, but you can get cards used in cryptomining for half of the original price - even less at times. So yeah, absolutely you should get this card. What an offer!
