Spoilers for the first 3 obviously.

I don't see how they can bring back Neo and Trinity tbh, unless they're incorporated into the Matrix at the end of Revolutions.

Do you guys think a new film is a good idea at all? And if so where do you think they'll go with it?

The second and third one got a negative reception but if you're willing to put in the effort, the films are super interesting and I personally think, enjoyable.

The issue is the 2nd and 3rd films were too focused on making something the directors wanted to make, and not something your average moviegoer would get.

Can't wait for it, although would you take the red or blue pill?

After finding out that both the brothers who directed it have changed their genders, I do wonder what they will include.

Sorry, never even watched the Matrix xD. Still, I've heard they're good. Maybe I'll watch it someday.

The first matrix was a masterpiece. It was completely self contained and I think this is one of the reasons the sequels didnt work. The first one didnt really leave any questions that where unsatisfactory if they weren't resolved. Thats because the matrix was mostly esoteric, the universe served the purpose of supplying a setting for the amazing visuals and the introspective of the viewer on the nature of reality. Its not like lord of the rings where the world is the protagonist.

I absolutely agree with this, the 2nd and 3rd Matrix movies were extremely huge, and I'm alright with the scale but it left so many universe building questions that it started to not make much sense the more you thought about it. It left a lot to be desired, which I think is why the 4th Matrix movie was announced, issue is that the main characters ark was completed, so I have wonder what's gonna go on in the new movie(s) besides continuing to build the idea.
