Ironically, the problem in India is that lowest bidder gets the contract rather than one which is more qualified so there’s cost overruns and quality issues. Just yesterday, L&T’s CEO was complaining how he had to rely on overseas projects to compensate for the loss of revenue by under-bidders in India who ultimately don’t deliver.
