Trying a demo of a game called Starmade

I just downloaded the launcher, and am going to give it a try, looks like you can build some amazing looking starships in there, it has a procedurally generated universe, and complex ship building. Its voxel based, so you can imagine how the look and feel of it will be.

I was never really into voxel games, but I really want to build some space ships :D

The demo is free to try, and the game can be purchased for $14.99 (I dunno if this is on offer or what?) as a scribbled out $19.99 sits next to it, lol.

I used to play it a while ago, it was free to play.
It's one of those games that are really good but you can only play for like an hour or you'll get bored.

Yeh... I actually don't think it's my cuppa tea now I have done all the tutorial.I am not creative enough for this. The idea of it seemed pretty sweet tho, but then I remembered I rather suck at building things haha!

Oh well, put it out there for anyone who hadn't heard of it before. It seems like a neat idea.. if you are into that!

haha, it actually has more features in a sense. With the building in it x3 and its far cheaper lolz.

I hope they add some kind of building mechninism for NMS.

I don't think is a game i would play. I am not to much into these kind of games i like games more based to the real world as you understand what i mean. But hey! everybody their own taste of games right? I hope you enjoy playing it though!

I've never quite got the point of spaceship games, they confuse me too much.

i think spaceship games are building spaceships, completing quests, taking in the views, grinding, farming, more grinding, building colonizations.

Well all space games fall into different categories I suppose. But I think the purpose of Starmade is complex ship building, like minecraft.. Oh and it may be a bit of real time strat, for when you go online and shoot other ships etc.

It is not a game for me, I have confirmed I am just not good at voxel building games. I like building in the game 'The Forest', and even Ark to a degree, less complex, less confusing.

And this has turned out not to my taste, but at least it out there for other people to maybe enjoy haha.
