What Are Some Games You Were Hyped About Because People Hyped It Up, But Let You Down

Mine Was Elden Ring, I played the early Dark Souls games so I expected it to be good, but Instead I was disappointed by how bland it felt compared to dark souls 2 and 3. Strange to say, but open world dark souls is just a bit too much for me and I hate it! I think it may have to do with how many open world games there are today, where it's just a huge map with slop covered all over it.
