What is 420?

My birthday is 20th of April. I never knew what 420 was until last year where random kids from my school gave me weed... I didn't really smoke back then, but the point is I never understood why people chose 420 to be the stonersday. Wikipedia says that a group of stoners came together at 4:20 PM to smoke some weed but is there anyone else who knows a different story?

I am really stressing out,because I just don't know WHY Tongue

Yep, that's what I heard it was a group of kids who would meet up after school and smoke a joint a 4:20.

it should be more like 4:20 am rather than PM. At least i think it that way.

All I can say that you're on very fucking lucky guy.
It would be shame if you were born on 420 but do not smoke weed.

I don't know much about the day myself but it should be a weed celebration day.
No clue where the date came though.
