I want to host server for couple of my friends. Something cheap and good

I use aternos.org it's free.

freemc.host is what i use. or you can use freemcservers.net

Aternos if you want free, Apex if paid.

Aternos is free tho, but Apex is paid but better

Use your own pc for hosting a server, It's the best if you're experienced. If you're a beginner go pay for hosting.

shared hosting is alright for a new server, but if you want something scalable and with good performance then defo a dedi, i use OVH
