What is y'alls view on gmodstore?

Addons shouldn't be able to be immediately monetized. It should have a proven track record and if the developer stops supporting and addon or they disappear. The addon should be then changed to free. I'm all for supporting people's work but it gets a bit much if someone is spending hundreds of dollars for addons for a game like garrys mod.

It's just so dumb that you have to spend lots of money for so small stuff. Like i still think that supporting developers is great and all but i ain't paying 16 dollars for small menu on game older than majority of its players lol.

I feel like the gatekeeping needs to stop.
We have so many addons that are just no longer supported by developers that soon will completely break.
Honestly, I agree they should be made free or swapped to open sourced a lot like they did with Blues Content.
I just know I am sick of the many back doors provided within everything you download from any nulled site, which is a big reason these types of sites are starting to really take a deep dive towards death.
Just in the last week I've found over 40 addons for gmod with backdoors all over them.
But why would anyone want to pay for an addon that hasn't changed since 2022/2023 or later?
