What is your stance on Leaking scripts?

Now let me just state a few things before I go any further, I don't condone, nor deny leaks, I am more of I guess neutral on it per say since I have used them but in a much better way then what others think that they are used for only.I feel like leaking isn't good,but not bad either.It really all depends if the script is over priced, and what people will do with the leaked script. I mean it's only scummy if the server owneruses those scripts on your server really, unless like I said, the script is overpriced, and even then its still kind of scummy for both sides.

You can't really go off of the enlargement that these scripts should be free because then we wouldn't have the scripts that are being leaked, thus no business for programmers, and possibly no well coded servers really.

Anyways I am making this post mainly for what leakers think about this, and maybe provide how this could be causing stress for them or something of that matter. So please consider providing your opinion as I am sure that I am not the only curious about the opinion of others on leaks.

i use it to test the scripts. because i dont want to buy something i dont need or is buggy

Well, personally I think that leaking is just for testing at least in my case. There is always something missing, broken or bad about the script which makes me not want to buy it and then I would've wasted cash on it.


Instead of having to spend $10 on a script I might actually hate I would rather just download a leaked version and if I enjoy it and find it useful I'll buy it.

I think for testing it's prety great. The same thing can be said for using them as a learning experience.

Sharing between developers is extremely important, especially as an educational experience. I'd say it'd be more helpful if developers shared advice rather than raw scripts.
