When and how do you believe the world will end? assuming it will

i believe in 1000 years from memes becoming sentient and taking over

The world will end when Skynet will become reality. I'm scared and excited at the same time with the recents scientific achievement in robotic engineering. I hope that an A.I. will never have the power to destroy us but I can't wait to see how far the developing of new A.I. can go. Am I crazy? XD

no ur not, Humanity just decided to put her self in danger by Advancing A.I. to a level which A.I. will do everything humans do, Robots will definitely get jealous by time as we're upgrading them to have emotions and such..

Not sure if the whole world can end, if we were talking about Earth and humanity it would be easier to answer. But it will probably end if our star die.

I believe there are many different scenarios that can happen where the world could end, such as a rogue black hole drifting close to our system, an asteroid hitting our planet, a virus evolving and spreading at a fast rate, nuclear warfare, etc. If none of these things happen then in several billion years time our sun will turn red and swell up to engulf the Earth and all the other planets in its vicinity.

I think the world will end with nuclear detonation. It can be war, or it can be a teenage skid inside his closet that managed to tap into a grid that manages nuclear warheads. Either or, nuclear fire will be the end of us. You reach that point in human advancement that you really cannot go back unfortunately. Once you create something as powerful as nuclear technology, over the years it will become easier and more easily accessible. I mean just look at North Korea! If they can do it, give or take 200 more years, and you have 13 year olds running around with sticks made of Uranium. You know what else followed this exact trend? PHONES. Every kid has a phone now a days, I even see toddlers with iPads in their hands when during my time, CEO's of large companies owned Blackberries.

Well, the thing about AI is that it can still destroy us before true self sentience has been developed. An AI can be programmed to use a neural network to deter main the ?best solution to a problem, and say the problem is maintaining the environment. The AI could decide that the best course of action to protect the environment could be to remove people.
