Where to buy a VDS/VPS? And why?

It really depends on what you're going to use it for. You could use Amazons AWS or something like Virmach as they can be pretty cheap. Really though, you should do some more research and figure out what you need.

There's a lot of VPS/VDS hosting services out there, but they can get quite expensive.

I suggest you to buy vps. Try azure for free bruu... 30days good, but u can not use same card twice or more... Sad times...
