If I'm not mistaken, only uses two queries. Oneto update view date, and one to grab users list.Quite useful in my opinion.

Unless the task to cleanup the thread views is stopped, it will clean up that weekly though.

This will end up really spammy and will fill your database rather quickly.

Also remember this:
More queries = Slow processing time.
