The creators of Minecraft revealed this month that the video game of construction of buildings with blocks has more than 33 million users. And many of them are children, obsessed with what happens on the screen. Their parents observe them stupefied, but perhaps it would be more appropriate for them to sit down and play with them.
For Liz Cruddas - whose two children Oliver, 15, and Will, 9, are other fans of the game - it's incomprehensible that time they spend glued to YouTube.
"I do not understand why they want to watch those videos, they're so fascinated watching these people play Minecraft," she explains.
I think that there are two things that make Minecraft more than a game: it's awesome randomness and the creativity you can develop with it (especially this one). These are two things that I love in games.
