Caps was a key piece for the G2 to accelerate this much in this match. His Yasuo's route dynamics against ShowMaker's Kayle shaped the game: The G2 Midfielder could push the route with extreme ease and was loosened by the map; it was as if Caps, alone, was playing with resource bottlenecks. But instead of Jankos voluntarily giving up his jungle to the Mid Laner, it was Canyon who was practically robbed in Summoner's Rift. It was as if G2 had one more player all the time on the top side. It was basic math: three is bigger than one. Wunder, Jankos and Caps demolished Nuguri and Canyon, who failed to play together (or apart) the first few minutes, constantly attacked in isolation.

Also, Kayle was not a Champion who would be quick to enter the match. It would only begin to have the potential to change the game at level 6 with its ult, and well before that the map could already be from G2. The Champion would only really get strong at level 11 as she progressed, and at that point the Europeans would have had more than 15 minutes to attack by abusing the pressure in the middle. What is learning is the importance of recognizing matchups and playing around them - G2 took advantage of Yasuo's push advantage to take the entire Rift for themselves.

To apply High Tempo requires Champions who can print an aggressive pace and are relevant from early on - besides Yasuo, Gragas and Nautilus were great examples of G2. We also need to explore the advantages that arise (or are created). G2 took the flash out of the Nuguri and the Canyon and did not stop attacking them as it knew they would be fragile targets. First Blood's play was extrapolated and "milked" to the fullest.
