Why do people play battle royales?

I honestly hate these type of games lets go back to basics and finish with this trash.

Some are trash, like Fortnite and PUBG, but others like Apex Legends aren't as trash if you played games similar to them (i.e. titanfall 2). I hate battleroyales but I love Apex Legends.

There are not trash, its a cool Gameplay to play versus 99 other Players. Everything was so mainstream like COD or Battlefield, Pubg and Fortnite setting new highlights.

battle royale is boring af :/no idea why anyone would wanna spend time on it

Battle Royale games are more interesting to play because they are not boring, and beginners can often meet other beginners

Alot of people still play battle royales alot started again because of warzone and some find normal fps games like csgo kinda boring

They offer a nice survival and tactical aspect. In COD. Yeah You can formulate plans but it's so fast and crazy. I like to walk across fields and through towns looking in windows to make sure I'm not gonna get taken out by some kid with a sniper on a ledge. Idk, They are really fun to me.

I do too- I get you on that. BUT for some weird ass reason I like playing Apex Legends. I have no earthly idea why. I'm not great at shooting/aiming so it makes no sense.

Battle Royale games just get you addicted so quickly. But the also get boring after some hours and you just loose and loose. I don't understand how someone can have 1000 hours in a game like forntite
