Where is this video you peak of? I haven't noticed a decrease in speed after driver updates.

thats very true......i experienced it too, the new firmware has bugs..

nope, you need original driver. whindows 8/10 find drivers but not full or rules 100% or not work in normal parameters..

You might have your windows or many drivers outdated to make it lag.

Nvidia maybe do good cards, but their drivers is not very stable

If you have some issue with your drivers you can try a software called "Display Driver Uninstaller" just google DDU.

i have a 2070 and have absolutely no problems with any driver updates. everything runs perfect.

try do a clean install and uninstall everthing, then install drivers again and it might fix the problem
