Why is the ability for someone to cook viewed as an uncommon attractive trait?

"OMG YOU CAN COOK??"

Like I'm a 23 year old man who doesn't eat at McDonald's everyday like no shit I would know how to cook. And it isn't evenhard either you just gotta follow a recipe you can find anywhere online.

So I don't get where the excitement of learning someone knows how to cook comes from like it is some sort of rare skill when it actually isnt and every grown ass man or woman knows how
