So this thread is based on people wondering if they should learn Delphi over other known languages like C++ VB.net Java Python Etc..

What is Delphi:
Delphi is owned by Embarcadero and has been previously owned by Borland, Kylix, Turbo, and Codegear. Delphi can write native code that can cross compile on Win32, Win64, Macintosh, Linux, IOS, Android, and also smart wearable's (watches, Google Glass etc...)

So why should I learn Delphi? You may ask. Here is why you should learn.
  • Delphi writes native code.

  • Delphi code can cross compile on many operating systems

  • Delphi syntax is easy to learn and reads like English.

  • There are THOUSANDS of resources and sources you can find

  • Delphi compiles faster than many languages (C++ included)

  • The IDE is very similar to others so if your familiar with other IDE's handling RAD studio will be no problem!

  • When developing applications for different devices you can have a separate view for each device.

  • You can deploy Android apps to your phone using a data transfer cable in ONE CLICK.

  • There are THOUSANDS of components for Delphi to make it easier and faster for you to develop

So now you know why to learn Delphi. But your wondering well how do I start.
The best way to start with Delphi is go and get yourself an IDE to use some commonly used ones are:
Note: If you want RAD Studio (best IDE) you can download it here

So go out and learn Delphi guys!
