As long as Putin is in play, they will be a major player. Their nuclear arsenal is too large for the world to let them fade away. Either Putin will be removed or they will continue to have major weight in all world politics.

Well if they're gonna perform like they are doing rn against Ukraine, they're gonna be shithole in a year or less.

I feel that Russia will be in shit for a couple of years or so for what they're doing in Ukraine but it really depends on what their true intentions are and what happens.
