When Windows 10 was announced, there were a great deal of people looking forward to it. However, a lot of those people lost some interest when they were showed what the new Start Menu looked like. Now don't take me wrong, I actually like the menu that we got. However, I couldn't stop to think what could have been, had Microsoft just updated their already existing design with a new look. This is my try at doing that, so tell me what you think.

Nice! I actually thought this was a download :(

One thing, you should change the sidebar font to make it more like Modern Windows style. Also, you should add some function for the Windows Store apps (Metro apps). You should also change the Shut Down button (looks too much like a search bar).

Despite that, I very much like it, and hope that you make it into a reality!

The purpose of this design was to move away from the modern apps created by Microsoft for Win8 and Win10. (Stated so in the OP.) I can agree on the Shutdown button though.

I do like that start menu but I am not a fan of windows 10.
