I use wordfence the free/lite version and for small mid sized sites works like a charm

2Factor is an absolute must.
I also use Wordfence for file scanning and blocking of IPs that probe for vulnerable code.

I have to point out BulletProof Security plugin by AITpro Website Security. Most of its features in free version is more than enough - even for ecommerce sites.

Don't use WordFence... having worked in web hosting, I can tell you that if you run it with a lot of other plugins or on a shared server, your site will take forever to load.

do not use too many plugin. i think u will only need better wp security.

All plugins are paid but nice to have Some of these are good.

You can use the wordfence plugin. A successful plugin against Trojans.
