Well i dont believe in any religions, so some people call me a non believer and some people call me religious.

Some answers:

non-believer
Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities(Gods). In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities(God).
Most inclusively, atheism is the absence of belief that any deities exist.

religious
Atheism will be defined in the contemporary western sense: not just the lack of belief in a god, but the assertion about the non-existence of any gods, spirits, or divine or supernatural beings. Atheists in this sense are metaphysical naturalists, and as will be shown, they DO follow a religion.

A lot of people say ?Calling Atheism a religion is like calling bald a hair colour

Whats your opinion?
Glad to be back Ez

I don't think it's a religion. It's a belief/mindset imo.

I'm going to have to agree with Etno. I wouldn't classify it as a religion.

No, it's not a religion. Religion implies you worship/believe in a god - Atheism is the exact opposite.

I would class atheism as a religion because it's a belief that there is no god.

No, it's not a religion. It's just a way of thinking before humans were influenced by religion.

Atheism itself is not typically considered a religion because atheism is simply the thesis that there are no Gods. However, New Atheism, as practiced, sometimes has the hallmarks of religion and practiced in this manner may share enough similarities to be loosely considered such.

No. Nor even in a metaphoric way, because atheis doesn't mean an actual way to live, it is not a culture ,it is just a kind of thinking. Its like you called philosophical criticism a religion.

You don't have to worship a god in order for it to be considered a religion. Satanism founded by Anton LaVey doesn't approve of any higher beings but it's still considered a religion.

But yeah, I agree. Atheism isn't a religion.

For it to be religion, it's formed off a system of faith and worship. Religion implies (according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary) that there are practices, beliefs and worship in place. LaVeyan satanism is a bit tricky for me to comment on considering I know nothing about it but they use the figure of Satan even if they don't literally believe he exists.
