Would you prefer manual or automatic transmission?

I prefer manual it's so damn fun eventho on a slow car :D

Manual is really fun for me, but the fact of the matter is automatic has come so far over the years that it's simply more efficient and thus even faster than manual transmission these days. Manual is good for a weekend driver, but there's no beating automatic for a daily driver especially if you live in a heavy-traffic area.

Manual all the way, makes my 90 min commute tolerable

I prefer automatic. However, I think manual can be useful in certain situations. Another benefit of a manual transmission is that it forces you to be more aware while driving. I've not looked into statistics of any kind, so I'm not saying it's a fact, but I would assume that manual drivers are in less accidents due to their mind wandering.

Automatic all day in the paint! Never learned Manual (stick-shift), prefer automatic.

Manual, automatic transmissions do not last as long as manuals. But I do like to drive automatic when on long drives

Automatic for a car but manual for a motorcycle. I ride a R6 and the feeling of changing gears is phenomenal.

depends on the car i if i am looking for a fun drive then manual but for commuting auto is best

I prefer automatic because I can't drive a car with manual transmission.

The feeling of manually changing gears is great. Although the quicker the car the more need for an automatic gearbox.
