First season was huge, really well written and filmed, as was the second season. The third season suffered due to the writers strike, but I even the condensed episodes lacked the same feel. Four was better but it started to feel like a chore by the end, it seemed to be the same basis as the other seasons. I only vaguely remember watching the 2 hour special, which had a shock at the end which made no sense in season five but it worked out. Season five was a step in the right direction, where you're given more action and not just cat and mouse chases.
