Why would they do that?  :rly: I mean as in desktop, and platforms that have flash support. I understand if it's due to mobile support like iOS, Android, etc.. However, forcing all of the users to use HTML5 player even in the desktop? (Flash is even built in in the Chrome browser, so no additional downloads, too)

I don't think so.. :fp:

It annoys me to no end.. It's buggy, worse hardware support & performance, and it absolutely looks terrible! The new player in YouTube surely looks more like crappy player back before Google acquired YouTube..  (am I only the one who thinks that way? :( ) [They SHOULD add support of 60 fps to flash player, too.. T__T]

This is what I am talking about..

Don't you think this (second) one looks better & more professional?

P.S: I personally force my browsers to use Flash by disabling HTML5 codecs.

Unfortunately, that is only for legacy browsers. A person like me, can't change it back unless we disable functionality. Using Firefox Nightly, Chrome Canary, and.. Project Spartan as my primary browsers makes HTML5 player as default, can't change it back to Adobe Flash.

Well, looks like I am alone here. Sorry guys, I thought there would be people who don't like this player.
I will keep that in mind about your opinion towards HTML5 player.
