when did you first hear about Minecraft in your life?

My friends in school were talking about some game, it is in fact WAS minecraft. I was invited to play the cracked version of it, everyone said that it was the best game ever, but I still dont quite understand them.

As far as I remember, a friend just invite me, we started playing on beta versions.
