are tiktok or instagram spies?

I prefer my data go to US - Chinese already buy whole world...

Not sure if Instagram sells data or not but it uses data for their analytics which in turn used to show relevant ads to the users. But for Tiktok it was in the news that a beta release of Apples iOS 14 had caught TikTok secretly accessing users clipboards. TikTok was not alonea raft of other apps were caught doing the same, and like those others, TikTok issued an explanation and an update. But it was TikTok that generated the headlines, partly because it had been caught before doing the same and had promised to stop.

instagram is owned by facebook so their privecy policy will match that of facebook

Instagram is definately listening, as for TIK TOK i do not know, but what i do know is you don't HAVE to use them. you give them permission to listen when you sign up. thats the catch
