buying new laptop ,what do you recommend?

i want to by new laptop ,what do you recommend?

i used to have dell i5 but i dont know if others are better

Check used sites like craigslist first, I really don't know what your specific needs are. The new dell xps looks nice if you're into that sort of thing. Check out ASUS ROG if you're looking for a laptop with dedicated graphics.

What do you think you will us the laptop for? The new ryzen processors are getting picked up by the large manufacturers and have pretty good specs.

Honestly, its not worth buying a new laptop, buy a 2018-2019 laptop for $200, get a new 500gb ssd and an external 1tb drive and it should run like a 2020 machine out of the box. If it still runs slow (which it wont, it might have a tinyyyyyyy bit of slowness) Upgrade the ram, all and all coming to around $300 for a brand new feeling laptop

I also recommend the dell xps I got the late 2019 version and very happy with it. The 2020 version has 2 fans and runs really well.

Think about making a switch to linux instead of windows. It may seem too complicated at first, but it is really easy to learn and is in almost every way better than windows. It is free (should this be a reason for you), it is lighter and takes only a fraction of the drive and RAM windows would take.

it depends on your budget! the min spec will be I5 9k series, 8gb ram, 2gb graphic card and SSD

I have really been impressed by the new Ryzen 4000 series, especially if you looking under 1k.

The laptop to get depends. want to game, get an asus laptop. want to work, get a dell laptop.
