Forums can be a good way to generate money. I have one that I built back in 2005 that makes me a few hundred each month from ads. If I were to invest more time into it and grow it more, I am certain my income could easily triple but I lost interest in it many years ago but its a fully functioning online community that pays for itself at this point.
