gf wants us to go sober

some stupid shit happened recently that was loosely related to me using drugs and my gf got really sad and wants for us to go sober.
she was really sad and i felt bad so i said yes, but I REALLY DO NOT WANT TO GO SOBER.
anyone have advice? bcs this is not some shit im tryna do

Well if your relationship is based off of you two doing drugs together then there's something else there that needs to be addressed first.

Go sober. No matter what people say, using drugs for casual activities says more about your character than anything.

Of course it makes you feel good. That's what it's meant to do. But think about it.

Would you rather live your life enjoying things naturally (of course you're not going to for a while due to widthrawl, but you will eventually) or depend on a chemical in a drug to make you feel good, which you would need to keep increasing the dosage due to your body getting used to the chemical.

I know what I would do.

Going sober is super fucking gay. If you don't want to go sober don't, you will just end up relapsing and she would be even more mad. Lose, lose situation.

OT: I would recommend to just go sober since the "withdrawals" only last for 1-2 weeks. After, that you'll only get those thoughts of "a blunt would be nice" but you'd obviously not give in. But, after a month those thoughts go away. It'd be wise to go sober since you don't want to choose drugs over a relationship since that just shows you don't have responsibility and that you're weak minded.(just saying what she might see you as if you were to do that)
