Hmm, depends on how long he is doing and whatever drug he been doing. I assume it's weed but if it's something else then yeah he shouldn't go cold turkey. But, since his girl wants him to quit asap he doesn't have a choice unless he tells her what he is trying to do.

Going sober is probably the right thing while if your relationship revolves around smoking then I wouldn't risk it.

Reading through this and the responses, if you relapse well then shit. However, do you plan to stay on drugs forever?
Once you build a tolerance to the chemical in full you're gonna aim to hit something harder, well done on becoming a junkie.
Your other half has the right idea, get clean or get out. She doesn't want to spend her life with a waste of space.

alr first of all what i had a problem with was completely stopping instantly because im not tryna end up like this nigga https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhsgGWu9HrQ, like she did shit a lot more than me, but some crazy shit happened so she wanted to stop. what im questioning is going back to her and being like, we needa just dose down until we're off bcs im not tryna be sick as fuck bcs shes adamant on never doing any of it again and im just not tryna feel like shit for weeks, maybe a month, bcs of a stupid descision

To me it sounds as if there is an addiction involved, if the decision to cut out drugs, or lose your girlfriend is a challenging one, I would reach out for some professional help, not to a forum.

The stupid decision was starting that shit in the first place. Sure its like everything else you should come off it gradually I wont deny that but damn you sounded like you werent wanting to stop in the first place.
