how do I use the assets Ive downloaded?

hey guys! So I got some assets and I just started using photoshop few days ago and Im struggling to understand how to use them. like theyre mostly in psd format, so how do I integrate that effect into my texts, pictures and logos? idk if it makes sense but thanks In advance
