Honestly if u aint gonna run a lot of things, i5 will suffice also price difference makes i5 good at the respective price.

save the pennys and go i7 it will be alot better and then also make sure you get a decetn gpu to go with it

I have 3 computers. All of them have an i5. Unless you are doing some hardcore video editing I wouldn't waste the extra money

I went with an i7-5820k when i built my rig because i mainly did video editing. It handles games pretty well with everything else i have. Havent found a game i cant max out yet.

well tbh it depends on what your thinking of doing. I do not use intel i have amd installed I have had computer with intel but i thinking it comes down to what you planning to do and cost

4K gaming still can't hit 60FPS, this is literal meme tier.
Literally only depends on your budget. The i7 performance increase isn't that much higher than that of an i5. And as far as gaming is concerned, very little has to do with the CPU, mainly the GPU. CPU intensive tasks are for writing your desktop apps, doing video rendering (GPU acceleration does help but it's still very CPU intensive.)
