opinion on new doctor who seasons?

I like doctor who has been getting a bit confusing after season 11. What are your thoughts?

Previously, his idea was that the Doctor, an ordinary Time Lord, went beyond the views imposed on him from childhood, dared to think wider, step further, and thanks to this he achieved more than others.
Now it turns out that the Doctor owes all his eccentricity to a higher mysterious origin, and this ?chosenness from birth gives him special privileges that are inaccessible to an ordinary person.
