Best minecraft version for modding?

for pvp mods 1.8.9 is the best i think
others i just use newest version

1.7.10 has most mods afaik.
Though, there are many mods appearing in newer versions.

I think that 1.8 seems to work fairly well, most mods are updated to at least that point

1.7.10 if u like the old combat system but 12.2.2 if u want to test newer mods and like the new combat system

Well, 1.7.10 got way more mods but 1.12 got probably bigger and better ones. I'd go width the 1.12. Use Curse or Twitch launcher to get the best modpacks

i play mods with the version 1.7.10
That is the best version, lots of mods are compatible with that.

But you can use the version 1.12 too.
