Best minecraft version for modding?

I had a great weekend. On Friday afternoon, I finished work at 5 PM. I went home and took a shower. Then I went to see a couple of my friends at a bar downtown.

We had a couple of beers and a nice talk.

Personally, I love 1.7.10 more, more options for playing with mods

1.7.10 has most mods , but 1.14.4 has some unique ones , depends on what you looking for

honestly man, i dont know about you but i honeslty like 1.12.2 the best for modding, you can get raytracing, plus countless other mods that are supported and up to date with 1.12.2 but anything above that is hard

1.7.10 for modding server and playing with friends

I would use 1.12.2 imo because of how fun the game is in that version idk i just prefer it

Depends on the goal.
As an experienced technical server administrator, Ill say that for a server with mods, 1.7.10 and lower are better.
Those servers that on 1.12.2 with mods are waiting for failure because the lags will punish any project on new versions with mods.
But if you just play for yourself, then 1.7.10 and 1.12.2 (depends on the required mods)
