Why are people buy toilet rolls for?

If anything starts to run out like that then people panic and buy extra while they can. It just so happens that each toilet paper pack take up a lot of room on the shelf, so it's the easiest to deplete. But it's also happened with hand sanitiser and bread and other products in various places.

I too, do not understand why people are purchasing large quantities of toilet paper, a luxury, over something such as food, a necessity. Why not just use a wet wash rag?

The United States is the only country that went berserk with their need to buy toilet paper. Could've invested in bidets (save over 100$ per year) and used that in this time and need.

People buy toilet paper to have a supply for the next years. After all, there are very few products in stores due to Coronavirus (Poland)

Toilet paper, food and a home is the minimum level of comfort for an ordinary person. Thats why people buy up all products and toilet paper.
