Is tick really that important?

I've been always hearing about 128 tick and stuff but is it really that important? I'm pretty sure 66 tick is enough for a source game unless you're running a bhop/surf server. I play FaceIt and it doesn't seem that much of a change from normal competitive. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.

yes it is important set it to the max value which is 128, say you shoot the time it takes to receive the info that the bullet hit the player, thats it

Yes, movement and server responsiveness on 128 is good. That's why people rave about it.

I dont't know how many hours you played but if you play 1000+ hours you will see the difference.

Bunny hop on 128 then go back and try bhopping on 64, youll find the answer Wink

yes if you shoot like 15 times but 3 hit only so more ticks mean if your aim good you can kill

Tick rates are massively important.
They effect where grenades go etc.
