Is herobrine real?

I dont know for sure... Once when i was loading my new world, i was broke in to the textures (typical bug), and i saw real skin of Herobrine.
Maybe i downloaded modified client... maybe it was mod.... I was about 10 yers old, so i was really scaried. Who knows...
