Do you think Teamspeak 5 could one day replace discord?

I think that if it ever actually comes out that it could very well become more popular than Discord. Especially if they give people free servers.

discord is for "woke" quirky libtards teens, TeamSpeak is for chads.

Given that most servers still run an older version of Teamspeak due to convenience, I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon eveer.

I think there is a chanc,e but teamspeak will really appeal to old school players, ArmA, maybe even MOBA players....

TeamSpeak has said that their new one, TeamSpeak 5, will be server-based still. Meaning that you can self-host your server and manage/customize it more than you can a Discord server. Apparently, the TS5 client will also be backward compatible with TS3 servers. This is probably the only feature I've seen so far that might incentivize some gaming communities to have a TeamSpeak 5 server.

I miss Teamspeak/Ventrillo days but those days are definitely in the past. Discord is the new facebook of voip/server chats.

never used ts again after discord went big, guess teamspeak5 wont make any big changes in terms of userbase

From the very beginning, I didn't like TeamSpeak, so I immediately switched to discord

im looking forward to ts5 because discord has so many downsites.. ts was the main channel for voice communication and it propably will be again

Never, but its good to have alternatives, and they make every one improove.
