Is death note good?

A friend recommended death note to me and i wanted to know if its good to watch/read

It's actually the only anime I've ever watched, and I found it pretty good - and that's coming from someone who dislikes anime generally. I'd say give it a shot

Stay away from the live action version. It would be a dissappointment after watching the anime.

It's a little over hyped but very good in it's own right. A brilliant starter Anime for anyone who doesn't really watch those kinds of shows and honestly pretty ace even if not.

Anime is great, but slightly overrated. I feel a big chunk of people toss it on their top 10 just to seem cool. All of the live action adaptations are absolute trash, but NEtflix does have Willem Dafoe as Ryuk, and that was the best thing about that movie.

Death note was quite good in my opinion. I've only seen death note and ghost in the shell, i',m not much of an anime fan but those two were really good i say go for it!

Yea it's quite good, but it gets a bit worse after a certain someone dies.

I think it is a very beautiful anime compared to 2008. If it was made now, I wouldn't be interested, but since it is the 2nd anime I watched, its place is different for me.
