Is death note good?

Very good until half way through where it slows down.

Watched as a child, watched with a friend, even very good

I honestly thought Deathnote was a masterpiece. I honestly didn't know who I wanted to root for when watching it. I would highly recommend it. Just be warned, it is somewhat dark. I also recommend that you stay away from the
2017 live action movie. It was trash. The only good part about it was William Dafoe doing the voice of Ryuk. That was it.

I have been putting off watching it because it's so popular, but I've heard good things. I've seen over 300 other anime, a lot of it from years newer than 2010, so both because of the age and the popularity (people who don't even like much anime have often seen Death Note), I have sorta felt like avoiding it. I do have it downloaded for a rainy day, but it's a low-priority watch for me.

I'm a fan. It's a nice little mystery/thriller anime. I suggest it to people who are just starting to get into anime.

In my life I looked at many animes, I always watched pokemon or dragon ball z as a boy, but I liked death note a lot when I saw it, and another one that I also liked was kimetsu no yaiba haha :p

sadge another necro, but still on topic so might as well add to the discussion. Death Note is ok in comparison to Code Geass which is god tier imo since it feels like it has a stronger character arc than some guy who just kills whom he pleases

after the first part, it really slows down. i think the other characters are just too quickly introduced and you don't get attached to them

Yes, If one hates anime just suggest them this anime and they will get addicted to whole anime world.

It was a very good anime, normaly i dont like animes but i liked it.
