I'm thinking about buying a dog.

I was thinking about buying a Newfoundland or Gold Retriever. I didn't know Newfoundland breeds could be so big though. I think I may start putting this plan into action two years from now. i have too many commitments right now.

Also recommend getting a dog but those two breeds need a HUGE amount of upkeep in terms of grooming. Brushing at least twice a week to prevent matting. Also, theyre huge shedders.

Id recommend adopting rather than buying a dog from a breeder. Dogs are amazing and the most loyal creatures ever. I dont know what Id do without my dogs.

Both of those breeds have great temperaments, but I'd do research and find a reputable breeder. Especially for a giant breed like a Newfie!

We've always had retrievers, they're such great dogs. Have you considered adopting instead of buying?

I own a dog and I call tell its a marvelous experience. However, keep in mind that they're pricey. You'll have to buy food, medicine, toys, etc. I would only recommend doing it if you have a financially stable life.
