Is Soundcloud Dead?

I'm a musician who publishes to Spotify, Apple Music etc. but I still have a SoundCloud profile. Is it worth building up a following there now? It doesnt seem as active as it once was. Any soundcloud fans willing to convince me to put in the effort?

Soundcloud was great a few years back then, but since they switched to paid memberships the site lost its appeal i think

sounscloud is the best sevice for dj producers i really like it

soundcloud is not dead, still its usefull especially for vloggers because lots of free music there i also find good music.

I use soundcloud all the time to listen to demos of unfinished songs or different masters. the quality seems tonnes better than other streaming platforms, however I guess Spotify and Apple Music just have everything on there though?

I wouldn't say its "dead" I would say it is declining. Spotify seems big rn if I was making music id try to get everywhere I could.

No, it's like the place for underground music artist, or were they start.

Soundcloud is great for posting tracks if they're for an album or EP you haven't finished yet so can't put on Spotify.

Hearthis.at is an ok alternative.
