Is DarkRP dying

Considering DarkRP at its core is a light, barebones RP entry (like the base model Honda Civic of RP gamemodes), I don't think it'll die. It'll be overused and abused, sure. But I doubt it'll ever truly die.

Have you seen how many DarkRP servers are there. Thousands. It won't really die, but like some people say, many servers are shit and outright horrid lmao

Standard DarkRP has died a long time ago. There is nothing new and RP. You have to look at modes like SCP-RP or HLRP.

Some servers are, some not. It depends of what the server have

it depends on which servers if union then it still lives but other creators of servers take it away

Nah all jokes aside, people who think dark RP is just a money grab have probably had bad experiences. It is true that most DarkRP servers do sell donation packages but you have to consider the fact that it costs money to run a server on top of paying for add-ons, web hosting, etc. Servers charge for cool stuff because it cost them money. I personally have donation ranks on my server but I don't use any of the money earned personally. It is strictly set aside for the server so should we ever want to commission some work or get new addons we have the money for it.

A lot of people do setup dark rp to get quick money but if a child is young enough to fall for that then they're not old enough to have steam in the first place.
