should i go to art school

Absolutely go to art school. Just plan your finances. Loans are the worst and there are so many ways that I could have avoided them if I would have known earlier. Apply for scholarships not meaning to sound like your high school counselor here... Negotiate your loan amounts and budget. Anyway it was the place I learned how to screw up and stay open-minded. Creative people encourage creative people.

I think youtube tutorials are better. heh

I can honestly say its more about skill and connections. So def practice and make connections

It's great to invest in yourself but youtube university is cheaper... especially if you want to work independently not for a firm...

I think that if you are a very serious artist.. you will find more success focusing on exactly what you want to do and invest in making your self successful and developing your work. You will be more successful investing in exactly what you want to build instead of paying countless amounts of money to schools, professors and other to tellyou to do things you are most likely not interested in or going to use in your career.

speaking from experience, these days, you can land a good graphic design job or build a successful graphic design business with just a good portfolio and word of mouth

Thers alot of things to take into consideration here but Im gonna share what most unique to me.I got ADHD so school dosnt work for me, my grades were going down since 4th grade passed GCSE at the bottom of the list, tried to get a Foundation diploma in arts and design failed once, then dropped out. 2 months later im making money, made $500 this month. So make sure to take your own charechter and how you learn into account when choosing an art school or even if you should in the first place. good luck

college is a scam you can teach yourself art

yes go to artschool, might not mean anything in your country but if you travel somewhere else, it means a lot. i regreted not going to artschool.
