I've been using laptop for my productivity for almost 5years I can say that just pick one powerful machine that can last for years before you change for a new one.

I tend to get more work done on a PC rather than a laptop. it's all about practicality!

PC. You pay the price for portability, even with phones, the bigger ones pack more punch even though that kind of defeats the purpose of a "mobile" device the bigger and heavier it gets !

if a laptop always plugged in is powerful enough for your use case, then laptop (IMO)

a laptop its battery is very annoying, but its so much easier when you have to travel alot

I prefer a PC, because the only advantage I see in a laptop is its portability, and another point that doesn't make me like laptops very much would be a problem I had with one (in the middle of my work it turned off because of overheating doing thus losing my job altogether).

PCs because you can usually upgrade the parts easier than laptops. Parts are more readily available
