Definitely PC, don't trust laptop's sturdiness when traveling. Too easy to break screens etc.

Love 'm both, the choice depends on wherever I am. I sometimes use remote desktop to use the power of my PC tho.

If portability is required at any time; Laptop always wins.

If you're going to be completely stationary; PC for the win.

I also think, just my opinion, that if you're into gaming - a PC will definitely pack more punch and a custom one would be the way to go, that or if you need some absolutely god-tier specs (3D animation rendering, 8K video editing, etc), a PC is the way to go. Otherwise, as someone who uses both and worked in IT, laptops can handle all the other stuff a PC does.

Though some of the laptops out today have insane specs on them, I have 2 laptops, and one of them I essentially use as a tower (since its a bit bulkier and my other one is new) and it's hooked up under my desk and hooked up to two monitors. Great for gaming and other random projects - whereas my other one I use more for clients, and its even more powerful, but I it's my money-maker.

However, PC towers are becoming smaller and smaller OR more advanced and intricate - there aren't many, if any, laptops out there with liquid cooling and some of the awesome things PC's have, which I'd love to see in the future.
